This training module is based on the concept of Constructive Alignment (Biggs, 2003), that is, the need to align, in the curriculum design of a Curricular Unit (UC), the learning objectives with the teaching activities (within and outside the classroom) with the assessment and feedback models for the curriculum content.

The conceive-design-implement-operate (or execute) components, also known as CDIO will be explored in this module, seeking to support the Faculty in defining operative learning objectives that facilitate students’ self-regulation, allowing them to adjust more closely, managing their efforts throughout the semester and helping them take advantage of feedback processes and information.

The relevance of the chosen CDIOs for the labor market and employers will be explored, in a perspective aligned with the EUR-ACE guidelines for the accreditation of Engineering courses.

This training module is especially relevant to faculty with responsibilities in designing program curricula and curricular units definition.
